The Department of Taxation and Finance have sent out letters to some homeowners requesting more information to confirm eligibility for 2025 Enhanced STAR.

If you have received such a letter - please read it carefully and respond as quickly as possible.  If they do not receive the requested information in a timely manner, your Enhanced STAR exemption will be reduced to a Basic STAR exemption for 2025 (see the savings difference below).

The MAXIMUM 2024-2025 STAR savings (according to NYS Dept of Taxation & Finance):

• Basic STAR Savings: $262
• Enhanced STAR Savings: $710
