How can I pay my Town & County Taxes?

If dropping off a payment is not an option for you, here are some other ways you can pay:

• Mail a check to Town of Milo at 137 Main Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Please make sure your envelope is date-stamp canceled by the Post Office – this will allow us to accept your payment by the date your envelope is stamped, even if it arrives late.  If your envelope is not date-stamp canceled, we are required by law to accept it on the date it arrives.  Metered Mail is not considered date-stamp canceled and therefore must be accepted the day it arrives.
• Request your bank to mail us a check directly. These payments are not date-stamp canceled, so if you are near the due date, this may not be a good option for you since there is no guarantee it will arrive on or before the due date.  Banks usually wait until they have multiple payments to mail at once, which may delay your payment arriving on time.  We are required by law to accept these payments the day they arrive.
• Pay online with a credit card, debit card or e-check. Visit townofmilo.com and go under Government - Online Payments.  Choose View or Pay your Tax Bill.  Follow the instructions for the search to find your tax bill.  Please note the following convenience fees, per transaction:
  • Credit Card – 2.50% of your total
  • Visa Debit Card - $4.00 flat fee
  • Electronic Check - $4.00 flat fee
• Pay by phone using a credit card by calling 315-536-8911 during business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm). The credit card convenience fee is 2.50% of your total per transaction.  The options for a payment using a Visa Debit Card or Electronic Check are not available over the phone.
